How AI trainer jobs pay

Pay for AI training work is set by each platform and project, and it’s listed in different ways. This guide explains how to read it. It quotes no earnings: each job on this site shows pay exactly as its platform lists it.

How pay is listed

Of the 894 open roles listed here, 671 state pay: 553 hourly, 51 per task, 34 salaried, 31 fixed price and 2 monthly. The rest don’t publish pay in their listing.

Hourly pay is the most common for ongoing projects. Per-task pay is set for each completed item (a rated response, a recording, a study session), so what it adds up to depends on how long tasks take. Fixed pay covers a defined piece of work, such as a paid study or interview.

What pay depends on

Listed pay varies with the expertise a role asks for, the platform, the project and sometimes the applicant’s location. Roles that need a specialist background (for example medicine, law, advanced maths or software engineering) are listed separately from generalist roles, so compare roles within the field you’d work in.

Before you apply

Confirm the rate, how hours or tasks are counted, payment schedule and payout method on the platform, and whether there’s an unpaid assessment first. Pay can change between projects, and this site doesn’t verify it.
